« Altarea’s role is to meet essential needs: housing French people, supporting new ways of consuming and working, but also anticipating transitions towards renewable energy and data sovereignty. »

Chairman and Founder of Altarea

In 2024, in the context of regulatory development in sustainability reporting under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), the Group structured its priority issues around two core pillars: social utility and environmental sobriety. Altarea’s actions therefore primarily address these priorities, through a CSR strategy implemented via policies and action plans aligned with the various identified themes.

From a social perspective, Altarea continuously enhances its positive impact by meeting the essential needs of its customers (housing, purchasing power, healthy ageing, etc.). In addition, through its projects, the Group contributes to the general interest of communities and territories, strengthening social cohesion, supporting local development, and accompanying territorial transformation. For its employees, Altarea implements a human resources policy aimed at providing a fulfilling working environment while promoting training and professional mobility.

From an environmental perspective, Altarea is actively committed to the development of a low-carbon and resilient city, embedding this ambition across all its activities. This commitment translates into a reduction of its carbon footprint, the adaptation of its business models and products to the impacts of climate change, and the preservation of ecosystems and natural resources. To ensure the effectiveness and deployment of sustainable solutions – such as low-carbon materials, nature-based solutions in urban areas, the circular economy, and land-use sobriety – the Group monitors its environmental performance through a set of indicators, within a continuous improvement approach.
